Who Can Apply For a Death Certificate?

A Certificate of Death may be released to anyone with a valid reason.

• Contains name, date, age, sex, place of death, birthplace, residence and registration number.

Fees

All delivery times quoted are average delivery times, and cannot be guaranteed. All Death Certificates are sent directly from the Office of the Registrar General.

• Regular Service - 15 business days average processing and mailing time - $80.00 each
  
• Rush Service - 5 - 8business days average processing plus courier time - $35.00 additional courier cost (includes multiple certificates)

Rush service is not available for delivery outside of Canada.
